Compendium of Castaways Collectable Containers

This volume is a re-issue of the five original books published privately some 20 years ago. Covering the Island’s main towns — Newport, Shanklin, Ventnor, and Ryde, — with the final one covering Cowes, East and West Wight, the print run was limited then, to demand from collectors. In those last 20 years, the hobby of bottle collecting has continued to grow, attracting more collectors on both the Island, and the mainland. Naturally, things move on, and subsequently, following the book series completion, a previously unknown bottle turned up in a charity shop in Scotland. Such is the attraction of re-discovering the past through hunting at car boot sales, auctions or digging in long-forgotten rubbish dumps. The bottle in question was from Cowes and is illustrated on the back cover.

Over 200 pages, printed in full colour on premium paper throughout and includes the 2025 update of Ryde.
