The evidence comes from genealogical research, newspapers, local records and tales told by other collectors, historians or family members. The work is an exploration of the stories behind the names.

Compendium of Castaways Collectables: A re-issue of the five original books published privately some 20 years ago. Covering the Island’s main towns — Newport, Shanklin, Ventnor, and Ryde, — with the final one covering Cowes, East and West Wight, the print run was limited then, to demand from collectors. In those last 20 years, the hobby of bottle collecting has continued to grow, attracting more collectors on both the Island, and the main-land.
